About this tour

A full-day wildlife adventure to one of Costa Rica's most biodiverse spots. The journey begins with a scenic drive through rural San Carlos and Los Chiles landscapes, leading to the 'El Caimán' restaurant where the adventure starts with a refreshing snack and a 2-hour boat tour along the Río Frío inside the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge. Nature will amaze you at every turn: exotic birds flying overhead, howler and white-faced monkeys moving through the trees, iguanas basking in the sun, and caimans resting along the shore. If you're lucky, you'll spot the rare orange howler monkey, a hidden gem of Caño Negro. Lunch and a brief sugarcane and cacao cultural lesson included.
