About this tour

A 6 km (3.7 mi) guided hike through Tenorio Volcano National Park to the impossibly turquoise-blue Río Celeste Waterfall — the most photographed natural wonder in Costa Rica. The blue color is the result of a unique mineral reaction where two crystalline streams meet. Along the trail you'll see "Los Borbollones" (sulfur bubbles rising from the riverbed), "Los Teñideros" (the exact point where the two streams join and turn turquoise), and the lookout over the waterfall. Lunch at a local restaurant included.
