We had an excellent transfer from Tamarindo to San José with our driver, Johnny. He was friendly, funny, and made the long drive enjoyable for our entire group. One of the things we appreciated most was the option to pay for an hour long stop along the way. We were able to customize our trip with two intentional stops, which made the journey feel like part of the vacation instead of just transportation. The picture is from our stop at a waterfall and souvenirs shop. Also, there was some construction and traffic, but Johnny took a scenic alternate route that turned out to be a great experience. Overall, the ride was comfortable, professional, and stress-free. We were picked up at our villa and dropped off in front of our hotel. Quite a few transport services had pick up locations that were challenging due to our villa location. Private travel Costa Rica was one of the few places that gave the opportunity to list the address for pick up. It was very convenient, we would definitely recommend this service to anyone traveling between Tamarindo and San José!
